Oak Street Deli is a hidden gem that consistently delivers! Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee, a hearty lunch, or a delicious dinner to-go, this place has you covered. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and hot dishes. But the real star of the show is their chocolate chip cookies.

Ordered The Murray based on another review and it was delicious. Sandwiches are huge, I share one with my husband and neither of us could finish our half. Service was really friendly and the shop is super cuter. The seating out front is perfect. Highly recommend this place.

Ordered: The Murray (~$14): hot turkey and pastrami on a hero topped with pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions, lettuce, and mayo Kettle Chips (~$5): truffle oil & sea salt flavor Aya's take: Oak Street is a neighborhood gem! I love that they have outdoor seating, freshly made sandwiches, and so many diverse snacks, beers, and wines to choose from. I called in my order and made my way over, it was just about ready when I arrived. The Murray is a massive sandwich! At ~$14, it's a steal considering this was 2 meals for me. The bread was soft yet held everything together well, it was loaded with turkey and pastrami, and the other ingredients added more flavor and freshness. My only complaint had to be that there wasn't enough sauce (more mayo or something else) as it was a bit dry. They have a bunch of chips to choose from and I loved this Kettle Chips truffle oil & sea salt flavor. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. If you're in the area, I highly recommend supporting this local business!

Our fav deli in the area. Perfect cup of coffee, great staff, dog friendly AND I can pick up wine and cookies to go. It's a no brainer. The outdoors are lovely to sit and enjoy coffee & a pork roll egg and cheese. YES, it's pork roll.

I love the oak!! Seriously, the BEST food you can find in Weehawken. Their beer and wine selection is diverse, they have a wonderful snack selection and the employees are extremely friendly. If you're in town or you live here yourself, go check them out.

I live right next to The Oak and I'd be there every single day if I could afford it - not to say they're super expensive; I'm just very broke. I typically go in for a cookie once or twice a week. They usually have chocolate chip cookies. This week they mixed up the flavors and the KitKat cookie inspired me to write this review - quite possibly the best cookie I have ever had. My roommate and I agree they are better than Levain. The service is always so sweet and there is definitely a neighborhood ambiance. I've gotten a Mexican Coke from them and a pint of Ben & Jerry's, too... and some marinara sauce, I think. I'm not a heavy drinker + haven't tried any of the alcoholic beverages. Prices are a little steep on those items ($8 for the ice cream, I think), but it's mostly for convenience because there aren't many other places close by to pick them up. Overall: Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Price: 8/10 (justified but you can get most items cheaper elsewhere) Oh! And they do 20% off on wines on Mondays and Tuesdays.

May be a biased neighbor but definitely a plus in the neighborhood. Has a lot to offer from a full meal to a quick snack when it comes to their deli counter/kitchen. The coffee is the star as it's very reasonably priced and tastes great. No matter your preference on how or the kind of coffee/espresso drink you like, they'll be able to meet your expectations. From time to time they do tastings of some of their beverage offerings as well as just random up coming offerings through distributors. Worth a try for sure. Only downside is wish they were open earlier on certain mornings

This is my go-to neighborhood spot. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are delicious and ENORMOUS. I especially love the All The Way, their lox bagel sandwich. It's always enough for two meals for me. I follow them on instagram for their weekly specials; they're always so creative! They have a huge variety of beers, wines, pre-mixed cocktails, etc. Every time I'm hosting, I stop by to pick up drinks and snacks. Everyone on the staff is so welcoming and the patio is a comfortable place to relax on a beautiful day.

This is a great hidden gem that my wife and I randomly found a couple months back. It's tucked away on a side street near the reservoir, but we've been coming for lunch when we're in the mood for a good sandwich. So far we've tried a few different wraps/sandwiches and all of them have been delicious. They also have a good selection of beers (so far, this is the only place in Weehawken or Union City that I've found that sells Duvel). They also have some food/grocery items, many of which are organic and/or high quality brands. This is an awesome spot to have in the neighborhood - you can't beat it if you're looking for a quick lunch or some beer/wine.

We just moved to the area. This place was an amazing find. We find ourselves always going back. If it's for the delicious food or the great drink selections we love it. Dog friendly front is a plus. Staff is so nice you love saying hello. I highly recommend eating here and making multiple visits. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
